About Woodward Racing

Woodward Racing was founded in the spring of 2003 by owner/driver Adam Woodward. In July of that year Woodward Racing hit the track at Bi-State Speedway near Covington, IN. Adam spent his first year in karts running dirt ovals in Covington and Crawfordsville. By late summer of 2004 the focus was shifting to pavement sprint racing on city streets and in parks. In 2005 Woodward Racing moved to street racing full time competing for the championship in SIRA. Adam finished 4th in 4-cycle Super Heavy and 2nd in 4-cycle Heavy in his first full season sprint racing with SIRA. In 2006, Woodward Racing moved to the Indy Karting Series and added a second kart. Nine year old Madison Woodward joined the team and now competes full time in the Indy Karting Series along with her father, Adam. Both drivers won races in the Indy Karting Series in 2006. Madison won in the rain, while Adam scored 2 big wins at Linton and Mooresville. In 2007 both drivers will switch to more powerful enigines and continue to race in the IKS.

Madison Woodward

10 year old 2nd year racer from Plainfield, IN attends Mooresville Schools and is a fourth grader at Waverly Elementary. Her interests include music, dirt bikes, dogs, PS2, and racing. She is very excited to be in her second season of kart racing. Her goals are to get faster every time on the track and win as many races as possible. She hopes to continue racing for a long time.
